Course outline
This course provides comprehensive training on implementing ISO 45001:2018, the international standard for Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) management systems. Participants will gain the knowledge and skills necessary to establish, manage, and maintain an effective OH&S system that ensures a safe and healthy workplace. The curriculum covers key aspects such as risk assessment, hazard identification, compliance obligations, and the Plan-Do-Check-Act (PDCA) methodology. Through practical examples and expert guidance, learners will be equipped to align their organization’s practices with ISO 45001 requirements, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and regulatory compliance.
At the end of the course, the learner will be able to:
- Bring learners up to date with current thinking on occupational health and safety and thoroughly explore the Management System Framework defined in OHSAS 18001.
- Compare other internationally recognised management systems (ISO 9000/ISO 14000), and work through implementing a management system to enable continuous improvement of OHS performance linked to third-party certification.
